Koala Conservation Australia is a not-for-profit charity funded through donations, bequests, the Adopt a Wild Koala Program and souvenir shop sales.
An adoption helps with the rescue and treatment of sick and injured koalas and release back to their home range where possible. An adoption also assists with the conservation and expansion of habitat, collection of information for research and to provide educational material to increase public awareness of all aspects of the koala.
The cost of an adoption:
- Adoption package within Australia $70 per year
- Overseas package including postage $80 per year
- eAdoptions $50 per year
